Grossenbacher is expanding the 'Universal Controller' to include an embedded AI agent that can be executed directly in a container.
According to the provider, the embedded AI agent offers maximum degrees of freedom in application: it can be connected to large language models (LLMs) to enable highly developed interactions or decision support, and can also independently execute AI models or monitor and coordinate external models running on other containers. The AI agent was realized in close cooperation with the company foresthub, whose development tool 'feeds' the AI agent. Grossenbacher presented the scalable embedded AI hardware architecture based on high-performance ARM Yocto architecture with carrier board design, exchangeable SOM modules and optional hardware-based AI add-ons at SPS 2024.
