Student competition
EPSG is looking for innovative automation projects
Innovative projects and automation concepts based on the open Industrial Ethernet protocol Powerlink: This is the brief for the 'Industrial Ethernet Award' student competition organized by the Ethernet Powerlink Standardization Group (EPSG).
All students from European universities and universities of applied sciences are eligible to take part in the competition. The EPSG provides for a wide range of possible projects: Accordingly, it ranges from mechatronic applications for solving industrial applications to the development of new devices with Powerlink connectivity and the implementation of new features in the openPowerlink stack. However, the projects should be related to Industry 4.0/IoT. They can be submitted until the end of 2016 and must be implemented by June 2017.
The 'Industrial Ethernet Award', which is being held for the fourth time, is organized by the EPSG together with its partners OSADL, B&R and BE.services. Cash prizes and participation in a joint closing event await the winning teams. They can also publish their scientific results in the form of sponsored open access articles. The award ceremony will take place in summer 2017. Further information on the process and the Call for Projects (CFP) can be found on the award website.
