Nuremberg Fair
embedded world live again in Nuremberg
After a two-year break, embedded world is back in Nuremberg. In parallel, the embedded world Conference and the electronic displays Conference invite visitors to exchange ideas.
In spring 2020, embedded world was one of the last industry trade fairs before the coronavirus lockdown.
© Nuremberg FairThe embedded world took place for the last time in Nuremberg from February 25 to 27, 2020. At the time, no one would have expected a two-year forced break. This year, the organizers are once again inviting visitors to the industry get-together, but at a different time from the regular date. In mid-December, Nürnberg Messe wrote to all registered exhibitors of embedded world and offered to postpone the trade fair scheduled for March 15 to 17 to June 21 to 23, 2022. The exhibitors took up the opportunity and voted in favor of the postponement.
After the restart of embedded world, the trade fair will take place in virtual space in addition to the real event in Nuremberg. In the exhibitor list, interested parties can filter specifically between hybrid and digital exhibitors as well as co-exhibitors.
Live again - embedded world Conference 2022
All speakers have confirmed their participation in the embedded world Conference in June 2022. In addition to the web version, there is now also a PDF version with classic daily overviews.
With 195 presentations, three main keynotes and eleven classes, the embedded world Conference will once again offer an extensive program from 21 to 23 June 2022. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Axel Sikora, Chairman of the conference, is looking forward to the twentieth edition: "The embedded world Conference 2022 will once again highlight the current state of research and development. We will again combine comprehensive topics on the development of complex overall systems with current special topics such as RISC V or solutions for the problems in times of scarce chip resources and long-term megatrends such as artificial intelligence (AI), open source solutions and secure connectivity. The embedded world Conference brings together the leading minds who are already developing innovations for tomorrow."
The embedded world Conference and electronic display Conference will be held alongside the exhibition.

Dr. Matthias Klauda, Robert Bosch, will give an insight into the current technical trends in vehicle system architectures and Patricia Shaw from Beyond Reach Consulting will discuss ethical issues of AI systems and their implementation in practice. The program of four sessions was designed with cooperation partners:
- Members of the SGET (Standardization Group for Embedded Technologies) will present the embedded computer board standards it has developed.
- The Open Source Automation Development Lab (OSADL) is organizing a session on the technical and legal aspects of using open source components in embedded systems.
- In cooperation with RISC-V International, there will be information on the current, very dynamic developments surrounding the open instruction set architecture RISC-V.
- A session by the European HiPEAC project (High Performance Embedded Architecture and Compilation) will provide information on high-performance solutions at chip and system level.
- Employees of exhibiting companies at the embedded world Exhibition receive a 30% discount.
The protective measures
Since April 3, there are no longer any official corona requirements or access restrictions in Bavaria. Nürnberg Messe has adapted the protective measures to the current situation. For example, ventilation has been increased, cleaning intervals have been increased and disinfectant dispensers are available. Nevertheless, the organizer recommends following the general protection and hygiene measures on a voluntary basis. These include social distancing, wearing medical face masks and hand hygiene. Precautionary and regular self-testing and the coronavirus vaccination are also mentioned on the website.
Wearing an FFP2 mask is still mandatory on public transport. Exhibitors are expressly referred to the current German SARS-CoV-2 Occupational Health and Safety Ordinance. This stipulates that the respective employer must define measures for the individual work situations of its employees as part of a risk assessment. This also applies to all events and their set-up and dismantling.
