Congatec introduces a PCI Industrial Computer Manufacturers Group (PICMG) COM-HPC Carrier Board Design Guide compliant ecosystem for the development of COM-HPC client and server module based designs.
Engineers can start developing fully compliant designs without further delay. All they need to do is select the appropriate Computer-on-Module, add a COM-HPC Server or COM-HPC Client evaluation carrier board and the appropriate cooling solution to install their application and run programming, debugging and test routines on the new high-performance embedded computing standard.

Congatec's COM-HPC ecosystem is compliant with all new PICMG COM-HPC specifications, including the COM-HPC Module Base Specification, the Carrier Board Design Guide, the Embedded EEPROM Specification and the Platform Management Interface Specification.

The ecosystem for COM-HPC server and client designs will be complemented by personalized integration support, design conformance and testing services to address all challenges from initial carrier board design validation to volume production testing. Congatec will also offer carrier board and system development services in collaboration with cooperation partners. Rounding out the COM-HPC ecosystem is a carrier board design training program that will provide OEMs, VARs and system integrators with an in-depth introduction to design guidelines. The training program will guide developers through all mandatory and recommended design basics and best-practice layouts for COM-HPC carrier boards and accessories - such as high-end fanless cooling solutions for server designs up to 100 watts and beyond. COM-HPC client carrier boards equipped with COM-HPC client modules based on the 12th generation of Intel Core processors (codenamed Alder Lake) will serve as a reference platform.
