Field device parameterization
Softing and ProComSol enter into partnership
Softing Industrial and ProComSol, a US-based provider of communication solutions for the HART market, have announced a partnership on wireless field device parameterization at Achema 2018.
Specifically, ProComSol will distribute Softing 's new MobiLink interface for field device parameterization together with its own DevComDroid app for mobile devices. According to Softing, MobiLink is the first multi-protocol-capable interface that combines HART master, Foundation Fieldbus host and Profibus PA master in one device and offers USB and Bluetooth access. ProComSol, on the other hand, has completed the HART interface for the DevComDroid app. The beta test phase is currently underway. A version for Foundation Fieldbus and Profibus PA is planned for the second half of 2018.

MobiLink simplifies mobile access to field devices for plant operators, system integrators, device developers and other users in the process industry. It is suitable for parameterization, pre-configuration, commissioning, diagnostics and monitoring and supports FDT frame applications and common engineering tools.
