Data routing

Protocol-independent connection

Production in I4.0 is based on the networking of machinery data with traditional IT applications. The availability of process data allows applications such as control stations, big data analytics, predictive maintenance and KPI monitoring to be implemented.

Janz Tec and 'Verlinked' provide the necessary solution for the protocol-independent connection of heterogeneous industrial controllers with the verlinked API Gateway. The 'verlinked API Gateway' provides an easy-to-integrate out-of-the-box solution for flexible access to machines and systems. The integration solution for cross-manufacturer and cross-protocol access to process data from machine control systems can make data available to any number of IT systems. The connection is established using preconfigured adapters for communication protocols such as CAN, MQTT, HTTP and OPC UA. The information model of the 'linked API gateway' allows binary process data to be mapped into more complex data objects, which can then be processed directly in an IT application. Freely configurable interfaces enable integration without additional programming effort. Flexible routing means that all data is available simultaneously in different IT applications and systems.
