New version of the 'Sercos Monitor' available
The diagnostic tool 'Sercos Monitor' from the user organization Sercos International has been further developed. The new version is now available for download. This should enable providers and users to analyze data traffic in Sercos III networks in detail.
Sercos Monitor version 3.3.3 includes various functional enhancements and improved user-friendliness, for example through the introduction of drag & drop mechanisms. Manuel Jacob - Project Manager at the Steinbeis Transfer Center for Systems Engineering - on the new features: "In addition to a simplified analysis of functions such as hot-plug or S/IP, the new version allows recording and diagnostic processes to be automated via an API." In particular, the plugin-based architecture of the sercos monitor enables the rapid integration of other protocols, such as IO-Link or OPC-UA, and therefore the simultaneous analysis of these technologies in combination with sercos. In addition, the new version of the 'Sercos Monitor' can also be operated as a pure console application without a graphical user interface.
