Kleineberg becomes CTO of the Core Networking division
Belden, a provider of signal transmission solutions, has appointed Dr. Oliver Kleineberg as Global Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the Core Networking division of its Industrial IT platform.
The US company sees Kleineberg's newly created position as an important building block for the strategy of the platform, which consists of the Hirschmann Automation and Control, GarrettCom and Tofino Security divisions. The 39-year-old reports directly to Wolfgang Schenk, Vice President and General Manager Core Networking. His responsibilities include the technological positioning of this area on the market and in customer and standardization committees, as well as the identification of new technologies and trends.
Kleineberg studied computer science at Esslingen University of Applied Sciences and earned his doctorate at the University of Limerick in Ireland. He joined Belden in 2007 and was responsible for Advanced Development in the Industrial IT Platform. From 2012 to 2013, he played a key role in the integration of Tofino Security into Belden's network division. He has been actively involved in various standardization committees of the IEEE, IEC, ODVA and PNO.
