Is the steering wheel an optional extra?

Autonomous driving promises to revolutionize the mobility of the future. But do drivers really want to give up control as a passenger in their own vehicle? The management consultancy Detecon International has empirically investigated this question, among others.

For its acceptance study on autonomous driving, Detecon International surveyed a total of 643 people of both sexes aged between 18 and 70 throughout Germany. The empirical study and analysis was carried out in cooperation with the Otto-Friedrich University of Bamberg.
