HART devices on Ethernet/IP

At the trade fair, the ODVA announced the publication of further developments to the Ethernet/IP specification. These show how devices based on the HART communication protocol can be integrated into an Ethernet/IP architecture.

The addition of this capability is a further step towards optimizing Ethernet/IP for process industries. It provides users with a mechanism to integrate existing infrastructures while taking advantage of the benefits of industrial Ethernet.

ODVA also introduced its new Executive Director: Dr. Al Beydoun, previously ODVA Vice President of Technology and Standards, replaces the organization's long-time President - Katherine Voss - in this role. Adrienne Meyer was also appointed Vice President of Operations and Membership.
