Handover of the baton at Hilscher

Hans-Jürgen Hilscher, Managing Director of the company for over 33 years, has handed over overall responsibility for the Group to his son Sebastian Hilscher as the new CEO as of January 1, 2020.

Sebastian Hilscher has been responsible for the further development of 'netX', the core technology of Hilscher Gesellschaft für Systemautomation, for several years. The succession has been planned for more than a year.

Since January 1, 2020, Sebastian Hilscher has taken over the operational areas of Sales, Production, Commercial Management (acting) and Product Development in addition to Software Development, 'netX' Development and Service and will manage these in close cooperation with a selected management team. Sebastian Hilscher is particularly keen to view decisions from multiple perspectives in future and to make them together with experts from different areas.

Hans-Jürgen Hilscher is a member of the management team in an advisory capacity and, as the new CDO, will take over the 'netField and Innovation' division, where he will continue to focus on the IoT strategy for the company. 'netField' is an end-to-end Industry 4.0 solution that is offered as a modular technology platform. Hans-Jürgen Hilscher continues to hold the position of Technical Lead for the Open Industry 4.0 Alliance.
