Analysis tools are also available, for example to optimize plant and process efficiency or reduce downtimes through condition monitoring and predictive maintenance. The programmable IIoT mobile radio gateways collect and process information from machines and systems and send it to Deutsche Telekom's Cloud of Things in real time via secure mobile radio connections. There they are analyzed and made available for processing for various applications. The gateways from IoTmaxx offer an open Linux platform with a mainline kernel and can be connected to different systems regardless of the manufacturer. The 'maxx GW4101' gateway with sensor interface extension, for example, offers interfaces for 4× 4 to 20 mA, 1-Wire, 4× RTD (Pt100/PT1000), 16 digital inputs and six digital outputs.
