It can often replace an oversized, cost-intensive control system and, in the simplest case, is also an Ethernet IoT gateway. Thanks to freely programmable interfaces, industrial companies, energy suppliers and transport companies can remotely diagnose, predictively maintain and control their systems or inform staff and passengers via a variety of digital, analog, serial and sensor interfaces.
Developers can create their own applications with Node-RED via a graphical web interface. Various input, output and process nodes can be easily connected to each other using preconfigured function blocks to process data or monitor and control various states and processes.
