Easy integration into AS-i networks

Bihl+Wiedemann has developed an ASi-5/ASi-3 manual addressing device that can be used for all ASi-5 modules as well as for all modules of earlier ASi generations in order to easily integrate ASi participants of all generations into ASi networks in the field.

The addressing device is optimized for easy addressing of ASi-3 and ASi-5 modules and offers a design with OLED colour display and operation via six robust buttons. It also has a long-life energy storage unit (super capacitor), which enables fast charging with simultaneous use. According to Bihl+Wiedemann, a charging time of just ten minutes is sufficient to assign ASi addresses (ASi-3) and subscriber numbers (ASi-5) for 70 ASi modules using the addressing cables included in the scope of delivery. Also integrated into the addressing device is a standard USB-C connection, which is used both for the power supply and as a PC interface to connect the device to the Bihl+Wiedemann software suites.
