The plug-in cards (MRcards) enable cost-effective updates to future standards, such as fiber optics, and are particularly suitable for use in the energy and water sectors. With the MRcard Fiber, the router connects distant wind turbines, transformer stations or substations to the control center via fibre optics. The MRcard I/O has both analog and digital inputs and outputs, for example to connect sensors and actuators, monitor their values and communicate with the control center. The MRcard PLS creates redundancy via its mobile radio interface and can connect existing devices via RS232.
