With the exo428xU3, SVS-Vistek introduces another member of the 'Exo' industrial camera family with a resolution of 7.1 megapixels and USB3 interface. This resolution and an aspect ratio of almost 3:2 (3208 x 2200 pixels) make the camera a modern CMOS alternative to the old ICX695 CCD sensor. At full resolution, the camera delivers a frame rate of 51.4 fps, which corresponds to the maximum readout speed of the sensor. The sensitive 4.5 µm x 4.5 µm pixels enable high image quality thanks to the low readout noise and the good quantum efficiency of the third generation 'Sony Pregius' series. The camera has a global shutter and is available as a monochrome or color version. The industrial feature set includes, for example, 8 and 12 bit color depth, ROI, binning, offset and look-up tables. The integrated multi-channel strobe controller makes an external controller for light control superfluous in most cases. Other features of the camera include a flexible, integrated sequencer, a logic module and PLC-compatible 24 V inputs and outputs.
