With the 'Framos Sensor Module Ecosystem', users can utilize the flexible GMSL2 technology for image sensors that achieve a resolution of up to 8 MP at 30 fps and transmit the image data with cable lengths of up to 15 meters. The GMSL camera platform from Connect Tech has been integrated for this purpose. This expansion board, which uses a Gigabit Multimedia Serial Link (GMSL) IC from Maxim Integrated, enables up to four Framos cameras to be connected to the Jetson Xavier module via the GMSL2 protocol.

Power is supplied to the cameras via a single Power-over-Coaxial (PoC) cable, which is also used to transmit all data and control signals. This results in flexible cable routing and easy installation in confined spaces. Maxim's GMSL serializers/deserializers (SerDes) are high-speed communication ICs.
