The 8.3 megapixel camera 'phyCAM VM-024' from Phytec is an embedded board-level camera with MIPI CSI-2 interface or in variants for flexible connection with coaxial cables.

The camera module is based on the 8.3 megapixel 'AR0830' sensor from Onsemi and is available as a color and monochrome version. According to Phytec, the rolling shutter sensor offers high resolution, a large dynamic range and sensitivity, even in the NIR range. This makes the camera suitable for a wide range of embedded vision applications - even in mobile devices thanks to its low power consumption. For flexible integration, the camera module will be available in the phyCAM standard 34 mm × 34 mm, as phyCAM-M-mini with a size of 18 mm × 26 mm and as phyCAM-L with an FPD-Link III interface integrated directly on the board for flexible data transmission via coaxial cables up to 15 m long. A universally applicable backplane is available especially for the phyCAM-mini series.
