The Cognex 'Solutions Experience (SLX)' product range comprises application-specific solutions for critical automation tasks in key industrial sectors.
The first 'SLX' series is aimed specifically at the logistics sector and, according to the provider, reliably detects barcodes and articles with the help of AI. Thanks to AI-supported recognition, the devices detect items on a wide variety of conveyor belts and in varying packaging shapes. Thanks to an intuitive web interface and user-friendly AI vision tools, the devices can be set up and put into operation in just a few minutes, even by non-technical personnel. Barcode reading and AI-based article recognition are combined in one device, which reduces the number of components required and lowers maintenance costs. The current logistics portfolio comprises three devices: SLX-280D performs barcode recognition for zone guidance systems and container inspection, SLX-290 is used for item recognition, classification and barcode reading, and SLX-3816 performs high-resolution side-by-side recognition and large-area barcode reading on the top.
