Change in the management

Personnel changes in the management of IDS: Daniel Seiler leaves at the end of February, Jan Hartmann, eldest son of the company founder, joins the management of the company as the second generation at the same time.

Jan Hartmann will be appointed to the management board of IDS Imaging Development Systems on March 1, 2020.

Daniel Seiler wants to devote himself to a new challenge and is leaving IDS after fourteen years. Jürgen Hartmann, founder and owner of the industrial camera manufacturer, will remain Managing Director and will continue Seiler's main operational tasks from March 1. He will be joined by his eldest son Jan Hartmann. In addition to his existing duties in the recently founded sister company IDS Innovation with its associated 'b39 Academy', Jan Hartmann will be responsible for the company's HR, finance and IT departments.

Alexander Lewinsky, who has been Head of Operations for the company's production departments since 2018, will be granted power of attorney and thus become a member of the extended management team.

Since its foundation in 1997 as a two-man company, IDS has developed into an independent, ISO-certified family business with more than 300 employees. The headquarters in Obersulm, Baden-Württemberg, is both a development and production site. IDS is represented internationally with subsidiaries in the USA, Japan, South Korea and the UK as well as other representative offices in Europe.
