Zypries honors digital innovations

Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Brigitte Zypries honored innovative ideas from the field of information and communication technology at the 'Digital Innovations Start-up Competition' at Cebit 2017. Computer&AUTOMATION shows the developments of the 20 start-ups in a picture gallery.

A total of 769 participants took part in the 2016 round of the 'Start-up Competition - Digital Innovations' organized by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. Together, they submitted 306 innovative idea sketches. The submissions were diverse and varied: from technologies for treating cataracts, to diagnostic systems for better recording the vital signs of grazing animals, to software for optimizing the production of machines, vehicles or aircraft. The 20 winners have now been announced. Computer&AUTOMATION lists the award-winning developments in detail:

In addition to the main and recognition prizes, the jury awarded two special prizes in this round on the topics of 'Digital Education' and 'Big Data'. The winning teams will receive coaching and mentoring tailored to their needs and will benefit from a broad network of experts.
