The Low Code Association

The Low Code Association e.V. has now been founded in Berlin by low-code and no-code platform providers. The new association has set itself the goal of promoting the spread of modern low-code technologies in German-speaking countries and internationally.

In addition to the general promotion of low-code technologies, the association is also planning close cooperation with universities and scientific institutions, as well as intensive public relations work and stronger networking between the players active in Germany. One of the association's most important activities is the organization of the second Low Code Day, the leading conference for low-code software development in German-speaking countries.

Paradigm shift in the IT industry

Low code' and 'no code' refer to technologies and platforms for the largely programming-free development of customized IT solutions. These promise considerable economic effects, including up to ten times faster software development, and therefore represent one of the most significant paradigm shifts in the IT industry in recent years. Leading analysts such as Gartner and Forrester Research attest to the potential of low-code technology to largely replace the programming of individual software developments in the coming years.

Stefan Ehrlich, CEO of founding member SQL Projekt AG, is convinced of the strengths of low-code technologies: "With our integration platform Transconnect, we are pursuing the low-code approach to combine the advantages of fast and efficient data and system integration and process automation with an unlimited depth of implementation: as much code as necessary, as little as possible." This allows users to implement their own individual integration scenarios without compromise.

Low code is also an answer to the rampant shortage of skilled workers, but above all a new approach to facing the ever-increasing dynamics of our time with faster, more efficient and more flexible IT. Low code is becoming one of the key technologies in both large and medium-sized companies, and increasingly also in the public sector.

The founding members include the German-based low-code providers Scopeland Technology, Necara, Simplifier, Jobrouter, Allisa Software and SQL Projekt as well as selected regional IT service providers such as D-Research and DMK E-Business.
