New Management Board at AutomationML e.V.
On May 9, 2017, AutomationML e.V. elected a new Board of Directors at its annual general meeting. There was a change with a signal effect in the position of Chairman.
Dr. Andreas Gössling from Hilscher Gesellschaft für Systemautomation is now the first chairman. Jürgen Kübler from Daimler, previously the first chairman, remains a member of the association's board as an assessor. This orientation is intended to encourage other industries in addition to the automotive sector to join the association.
The re-elected board members Dr. Andreas Gössling (Hilscher), Dr. Wolfgang Schlögl(Siemens), Dr. Armin Walter(Lenze Automation), Prof. Arndt Lüder (Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg), Dr. Thomas Reisinger(ABB Automation), Jürgen Kübler (Daimler) and Dr. Andreas Keibel(Kuka Roboter) were joined by a new board member: Daniel Wolff from Inpro Innovationsgesellschaft für fortgeschrittene Produktionssysteme in der Fahrzeugindustrie.
Since its foundation in 2009, the association (currently 45 members) has been working on the loss-free exchange of data between tools in the various phases of plant planning and different trades. To this end, a data format was created on the basis of existing developments, with the help of which it is possible to map system data, starting with the system structure, through geometry and kinematics information, to processes, logical dependencies and networks in a manufacturer-independent manner. . AutomationML is internationally standardized as an open, free and XML-based standard within IEC 62714.
