TDK-Lambda acquires

TDK-Lambda, a wholly owned subsidiary of TDK Corporation, has acquired the Swiss company Nextys SA to expand its presence in the DIN rail power supply market.

Nextys develops and produces DIN rail power supplies and their accessories. The company was founded in Switzerland in 1998 and offers a wide range of power supplies and accessory products such as backup, protection and redundancy solutions. Nextys currently supplies over 1 million units worldwide.

"The DIN rail power supply market is growing much faster than many other segments and the expertise of the Nextys team will strengthen our position as the market leader in industrial power supplies," comments Adam Rawicz, Managing Director at TDK-Lambda EMEA, on the acquisition.
