Phoenix Contact takes over NSE

Phoenix Contact has acquired the Swiss company NSE, thereby further expanding its expertise in the energy sector.

NSE from Wohlen in Switzerland is a developer and manufacturer of protective relays and control units for medium and high-voltage applications. With this acquisition, Phoenix Contact, manufacturer of components and systems for electrical connections and industrial automation, is taking a further step after the takeover of Mauell Netzleittechnik from Velbert - now Phoenix Contact Energy Automation - to strengthen its role in the energy market and actively participate in its transformation.

Since its foundation in 1999, NSE has developed into a specialist in secondary protection technology and today employs around 18 people. The customer base is mainly in the DACH region.
