Wago creates position of Chief Digital Officer

The Wago Group is placing a strategic focus on digital transformation and is driving this forward with its own department. Christian Sallach will be responsible for the digitalization of the Group in the newly created position of 'Chief Digital Officer'.

Wago is bundling all digital topics in the new 'Digital Transformation Office'. The aim is to develop new digital products and services: "The ongoing digitalization of business relationships offers countless opportunities for Wago and our customers and partners. That is why we are setting the course today for joint future success and growth. This applies to our processes as well as all marketing and sales activities and, last but not least, our products and services," explains Christian Sallach, who took over the newly created Marketing division at Wago as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) in 2015. In addition to his new position as Chief Digital Officer, he will remain responsible as CMO for all of the company's global marketing and online activities.

Wago is a third-generation family business operating independently on the market with its headquarters in Minden/Westphalia and is a provider of electrical connection and automation technology. The company employs more than 7,500 people worldwide, including over 3,500 in Germany. Its most recent turnover amounted to 766 million euros.
