Elke Eckstein has been in charge of the Operations board department for the past five years. As Chief Digital Officer (CDO), she launched and drove forward the strategically important topic of digital transformation. According to the company, it very much regrets her departure.

The Supervisory Board has decided that the next logical step in the implementation of the corporate strategy is to anchor customer and technology orientation even more firmly at Management Board level. The position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) has therefore been newly created. "We are delighted that Volker Bibelhausen has decided to take on the role of CTO at Weidmüller," says Christian Gläsel, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the family-owned company. Bibelhausen will complete the three-member Executive Board team - alongside Jörg Timmermann (Spokesman of the Executive Board and Chief Financial Officer) and José Carlos Álvarez Tobar (Chief Sales Officer).

Bibelhausen has worked as a manager in the automation and electrical engineering sector and the automotive supply industry for over 25 years. From 1997 to 2013, he held various positions at Phoenix Contact, most recently as Head of the Control and Industry Solutions Division and member of the Executive Board. Prior to his new position at Weidmüller, he was Vice President Sales Original Equipment at Robert Bosch Car Multimedia and before that held a position of responsibility at Bosch Rexroth.
