TE Connectivity takes over Erni

TE Connectivity, a provider of connectivity and sensor technology, has signed an official agreement to acquire Erni Group, an electronic connectivity company for the factory automation and automotive industries.

The acquisition of Erni completes TE 's interconnect product portfolio, particularly in high-speed and fine-pitch connectors for factory automation, automotive, medical and other industrial applications. Erni strengthens TE's development and manufacturing capabilities in the area of printed circuit board interconnects. The transaction is expected to close by the end of the current quarter following the receipt of the necessary regulatory approvals.
