TE Connectivity appoints new Intercontec management
TE Connectivity (TE), a provider of connectivity and sensor solutions, has appointed Peter Van Loo as General Manager of Intercontec following the completion of the acquisition of the Intercontec Group.
Van Loo has 27 years of extensive engineering, manufacturing, sales and marketing experience at several TE European and US locations. Craig McDonnell, Vice-President and General Manager of TE Industrial Automation & Control, said: "Peter Van Loo's background and experience make him the right person to lead the integration of Intercontec into TE Industrial A&C. He will report directly to me and play a key role within the A&C leadership team. He will report directly to me and play a key role within the A&C leadership team."
The acquisition of Intercontec is a strategic addition to TE's own connector activities. Within TE, Intercontec will become the global 'center of excellence' for circular motor connectors. The previous managing director and founder of Intercontec, Wolfgang Pfeiffer, will continue to be available to TE in an advisory capacity.
