Lapp is providing its customers with a new fiber optic configurator that allows users to put together the right fiber optic cable assembly quickly and easily.

Once the required components have been selected, the assembly can be ordered at the touch of a button. In the Lapp configurator, the products are initially displayed according to the different application areas, for example for indoor or outdoor use or with different fiber combinations of glass fibers and plastic fibers, such as polymer optical fiber (POF), polymer-coated optical fiber (PCF) or glass optical fiber (GOF). The product portfolio offers various cable types such as simplex and duplex cables or loose tube cables, breakout cables or mini-breakout cables.

The fiber optic cables are available as singlemode and multimode cables. The user only needs to select the required transmission rate or fiber type and the desired connector (e.g. FC, ST, SC, LC or E-2000 connector) and the configuration is complete. To avoid errors in the selection process, a digital sales advisor is on hand to provide a personalized quote promptly.
