Rittal expands management board

Uwe Scharf (pictured) was appointed to the Rittal Management Board on January 1, 2019. He is responsible for the IT and Industry business units as well as marketing, which were previously the responsibility of CEO Dr. Karl-Ulrich Köhler.

Uwe Scharf, Managing Director of the IT and Industry business units, joined the Rittal management team on January 1, 2019. He has been with the company for 18 years.

Rittal, solution provider for enclosure systems and IT infrastructure solutions, is strategically expanding its sales organization. As Managing Director of the IT and Industry business units, Uwe Scharf joins the management team consisting of Dr. Karl-Ulrich Köhler (Chairman of the Management Board, CEO Rittal International), Hans Sondermann (Managing Director Sales), Dr. Thomas Steffen (Managing Director R&D), Carsten Röttchen (Managing Director Production) and Andreas Huck (Managing Director Shared Service Center Loh Services and Finance and Administration).

According to the company, Scharf has experience in business development and the strategic orientation of the product and systems business. He has been with Rittal since 2001. As Head of the Global Business Unit 'Industry', the 55-year-old electrical engineer aligned sector management and product management in the Industry business unit to the requirements of customers and market segments.
