Roland Bent, CTO of Phoenix Contact, ended his professional life on February 28. His core responsibilities will be assumed by CDO Frank Possel-Dölken from March 1, with a focus on the digitalization of Phoenix Contact.
Roland Bent worked for the Phoenix Contact Group for more than 36 years, including many years as Managing Director for Technology. He will continue to accompany the company as 'Chief Representative' in the international standardization environment. In an honorary capacity, he will serve for a further two years as Chairman of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies in DIN and VDE), as President of the German Committee of the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) and as Chairman of the Standardization Working Group at the National Platform Future of Mobility (NPM).
Phoenix Contact, a supplier of components, systems and solutions in the field of electrical engineering, electronics and automation, employs around 17,100 people worldwide and generated sales of EUR 2.4 billion in 2020.
