Inka Krischke,

Push-button with optical detection

The 'KO28010' optical pushbutton from Gett Gerätetechnik is designed as a built-in component, like a classic mechanical pushbutton with a bore diameter of 22.3 mm and an outer diameter of the button head of 30 mm.

The sensor technology of the optical push-button is designed as a pure proximity sensor. The maximum detection of an approach by the sensor is 150 mm. From this distance, events can be reliably defined using threshold values. The push-button from Gett Gerätetechnik offers three switching states as standard: stand-by, approach and triggering. The first two phases are indicated by the LEDs lighting up blue. The actual switching process takes place 20 mm in front of the surface when the light changes to green. To prevent unintentional switching - for example by walking past or accidentally touching - the switch-on time of the push-button is 100 ms; the same applies to the switch-off delay. The distance of the threshold values and switching times can be defined according to customer requirements.
