Provertha takes over Erni's D-Sub portfolio
Erni discontinued its D-Sub product portfolio in mid-2018. An agreement has now been reached with Provertha to ensure the continued availability of the products for current and future customer designs.
With the discontinuation, the D-Sub/TMC connectors with 9 to 50 poles and various versions will no longer be available from Erni. As part of the agreement, Provertha will continue the production of all previous D-Sub products from Erni and will also take over the corresponding machines and tools. Customers can now order from Provertha under the previous article numbers.
Provertha Connectors, Cables & Solutions is an owner-managed family business founded in 1981 that employs over 800 people at four locations in Germany and Hungary. Its range of products and services includes standard and special connectors such as D-Sub and M8/M12 with accessories, individual data cables, cable harnesses and cable sets, complete solutions as well as plastic production and toolmaking.
ERNI International, headquartered in Switzerland, employs over 1300 people worldwide and generates annual sales of 200 million euros. The company develops and produces electronic connection solutions for various application areas. The main focus is on connectors for the automotive sector and industrial automation.
