The standardized plug connectors in Murrelektronik 's MQ15 series are easy to install thanks to the tool-free quick connection. According to the manufacturer, a ¼ turn is all it takes to securely engage the IP67-sealed connector. The quick connection system reduces installation time for new installations, service and maintenance by up to 80 %. The fact that the locking status of the connector is visually and haptically marked contributes to safe installation; in addition, a 'click' provides acoustic feedback when installing the MQ15. The full PUR overmolding ensures tamper protection as well as kink and vibration protection. Further protection is provided by a locking mechanism and a protective conduit connection on the plug connector.

The product range includes overmoulded, pre-assembled connectors with highly resistant PUR or cost-effective PVC cable, suitable flange connectors for motor integration and self-connectable variants. A 4- and a 6-pole version with wire cross-sections of 1.5mm² and 2.5mm² are available. With the h-distributor solution with molded cables, the power distribution can be flexibly routed to any number of stubs, thus reducing the number of plug-in points. In addition to the 4-pole version with three power contacts + PE, the 6-pole version of the MQ15 also offers two signal contacts. The latter therefore offers the option of integrating additional functions, such as temperature or brake.
