New Chief Sales Officer at Weidmüller
José Carlos Alvarez Tobar has been responsible for global sales and global market communication at the Weidmüller Group in Detmold since March 1, 2016. He brings decades of experience to the company.
Alvarez Tobar began his career in 1979 as Managing Director of the Weidmüller branch in Spain. Since 2003, he has been responsible for the entire Southern Europe region (France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland and North Africa), from 2012 as Executive Vice President Sales & Marketing for the Southern Europe region and since 2015 as Senior Executive Vice President for Brazil and Latin America. In order to strengthen the future viability of the Weidmüller Group, the focus in sales is particularly on strengthening and expanding the global presence and proximity to customers - especially in the growth markets of Asia, IMEA and the Americas.
