Weidmüller

More than 20 percent growth

At the beginning of November 2022, the Weidmüller Group exceeded the EUR 1 billion sales mark for the first time in the current financial year and is forecasting year-on-year growth of over 20% in total for the 2022 financial year.

Despite a challenging procurement situation, Weidmüller was able to successfully service the continuously increasing order backlog, resulting in record sales in the fourth quarter. "Our sales expectations were not only met, but even exceeded," says CEO and Chief Technology Officer Volker Bibelhausen, looking optimistically to the future: "We are confident that the good order situation will continue to give us a tailwind despite the tense situation on the energy markets." Overall, the growth reflects the continuing positive trend in the electrical engineering and automation sector.

Weidmüller currently has almost 6000 employees at over 30 locations and 60 agencies and is consistently continuing its growth course worldwide. "We are planning an ongoing systematic increase in personnel in all areas as well as further strategic investments in new technologies and markets," explains Weidmüller CFO André Sombecki.
