Lapp at SPS 2024
Connector Product Portfolio expanded
Lapp is presenting a range of new connectors at the SPS. These include, for example, the redesign of the ‚Epic‘ rectangular connector housings of the H-B and H-A series.
They are now more modern and easier to grip. The front and rear corners have been flattened and deeper ribs have been added to the front sides. This makes the rectangular connector easier to grip and prevents it from slipping out of the hand during assembly, even in oily environments. Two new Epic Data RJ45 field-attachable data connectors (image) for assembly with Cat.6A and Cat.8.1 cables enable simple cable connection using insulation displacement technology. The metal housing made of die-cast zinc ensures the stability of the Cat.8.1 connector. The UL-certified plug is suitable for all LAN networks and Ethernet applications up to 10GBase-T or 40GBase-T. It enables transmission rates of up to 40 Gbit/s over a distance of 30 m. Another innovation concerns the ‚Epic Sensor M12‘ built-in connector, of which there are now further, cost-optimized variants. The ‚express connection‘ of sensor-actuator interfaces in the control cabinet already has 50 cm long individual wires and is screwed into the front of the housing. It can then be wired inside the housing.
