Change in the Executive Board

Dr. Timo Berger will succeed José Carlos Álvarez Tobar as Chief Sales Officer of the Weidmüller Group as of September 1, 2019. Berger and Álvarez Tobar have already been working closely together in the transition phase since March 1, 2019.

After a total of 40 years at Weidmüller and three years as Chief Sales Officer, the current Chief Marketing & Sales Officer (CMSO) José Carlos Álvarez Tobar will retire on September 1. His successor, Dr. Timo Berger, has been with Weidmüller since 2005 in various product divisions and has been responsible for sales in Germany and the Central Europe region as Managing Director and Regional Manager for two years. From September 2019, Berger will complete the three-member Executive Board team with Jörg Timmermann (Spokesman of the Executive Board and Chief Financial Officer) and Volker Bibelhausen (Chief Technology Officer).
