Wago
Billion in sales cracked
The Wago Group has taken advantage of the overall economic growth and the tailwind in the electrical engineering and automation sector this year and broke the one billion mark in sales at the beginning of November.
This means that the company has achieved an increase in sales of more than 20% compared to the previous year and is one of the 100 fastest-growing SMEs in Germany according to the 'Top 100' ranking by strategy consultants Munich Strategy.
"The signs at Wago are pointing to growth; we have our sights firmly set on the second billion in sales," emphasizes CEO Dr. Heiner Lang. To achieve this, the Wago team is also to be expanded. Reinforcements are being sought in all areas - from engineers, IT and sales experts to specialists in production and administration.
The billion-euro turnover is a milestone that is primarily due to the commitment of the employees. In the course of the coronavirus pandemic, large parts of the workforce were quickly switched to mobile working, including an adaptation of the IT infrastructure and flexible working models. In conjunction with a comprehensive health concept, it was possible to increase performance despite the challenging circumstances.
