New CEO appointed
Dr. Bernd Schimpf, member of the Wittenstein Executive Board, has been appointed Spokesman of the Executive Board of the group of companies based in Igersheim, Baden-Württemberg. The mechanical engineer takes over from Dr. Anna-Katharina Wittenstein.
Dr. Anna-Katharina Wittenstein wants to devote more time to external tasks in line with the multi-stage generational transition in the Wittenstein family business. She is taking a break until the end of November 2017 for maternity reasons.
The composition of the four-member Executive Board of the mechatronics group remains unchanged: In addition to Dr. Bernd Schimpf and Dr. Anna-Katharina Wittenstein, the board also includes Dr. Dirk Haft and Erik Roßmeißl.
According to its own forecast, the Group is expected to close the 2016/2017 financial year with total sales of around € 337 million (2015/2016: € 302 million).
