Multi-axis inverters for compact control cabinets
Inovance Technology Europe presents the MD800, a multi-axis inverter. It has functions such as STO and offers the option of operating permanent magnet motors and induction motors with the same inverter.
Inovance Technology Europe has developed the multi-axis inverter to meet OEM requirements for flexible and scalable multi-axis performance in a compact size. The modular design of the MD800 enables up to eight axes to be mapped in one setup. The power supply unit provides the power via the common DC link. The inverter offers functionality including STO (safe torque off) individually for each axis. Permanent magnet motors and induction motors can be operated with the same inverter. A 24 V (DC) control voltage and various fieldbus and I/O expansion cards round off the product. In addition, the inverters can be operated either in heavy duty (150 % overload), for torque-intensive applications, or in normal duty (110 % overload), for example for blowers and pumps. The inverter was designed for harsh industrial environments and an operating temperature range of -20 to +60 °C.
