Since its launch in 2010, around 500 participants from Germany have been able to gain an exclusive insight into the theory and practice of electromobility through the Drive-E program. In its anniversary year, the young talent program for electromobility is taking place at the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Systems and Device Technology IISB in Erlangen.

Drive-E consists of the Drive-E Academy and the Drive-E Study Award:

  • As an interdisciplinary summer school, the Drive-E Academy is aimed at students from various disciplines who are enthusiastic about the challenges of future mobility. Over the course of a week, the selected participants gain intensive insights into developments in electric and autonomous mobility as well as related technologies and concepts. In addition to presentations by experts from industry, business and science, workshops, test drives and excursions to companies and research institutions are planned. In 2019, the focus will also be on exchanging ideas and networking with former participants from 10 years of Drive-E.
  • The Drive-E Study Award recognizes outstanding project work, student research projects and theses in the field of e-mobility. The study prize is endowed with prize money of up to 6,000 euros. All award winners are also invited to take part in the Drive-E Academy.

Students from Germany can apply online until June 30, 2019 (12:00 noon CET) and find out about the conditions of participation.
