Jan Mrosik replaces Gunther Kegel

Dr. Jan Mrosik, Chief Operating Officer (COO) Digital Industries at Siemens, has been elected as the new Chairman of the ZVEI 'Automation' trade association. He succeeds Dr. Gunther Kegel, CEO of Pepperl+Fuchs.

"The automation specialists in the ZVEI are already solution providers for digitalization and energy efficiency. Now we need to work together to focus on the future technologies of artificial intelligence, edge and cloud computing in order to continue shaping Industry 4.0 successfully," says Dr. Mrosik. "With our innovations, we can also contribute to greater climate protection and resource conservation."

Since 2007, the ZVEI 's 'Automation' trade association has been under the leadership of Dr. Gunther Kegel. He will remain active in the ZVEI: as President-Elect, he will succeed ZVEI President Michael Ziesemer in May 2020. Dr. Jan Mrosik was elected as the new Chairman of the ZVEI Automation Association by the members of the Association's Executive Board. This is made up of representatives from the three specialist areas of electrical drives (EA), measurement technology and process automation (M+P) and switchgear, switch systems and industrial control systems (SSI). At the general meetings at the end of September 2019, Roland Bent(Phoenix Contact) for SSI, Dr. Jörg Hassmann(Siemens) for EA and Nikolaus Krüger(Endress+Hauser) for M+P were elected as chairmen of the three specialist areas.
