At SPS, Datalogic will be presenting live demonstrations of the interaction between sensors and safety scanners, camera systems for control and monitoring, laser markers and barcode scanners for identification. In the areas of camera technology, sensor technology and identification, the company focuses on innovations that enable digital automation solutions in the Industry 4.0 environment. The first member of the S5N sensor series with IO-Link V1.1 and smart sensor profile has recently become available. The sensors combine all IO-Link standard sensor and actuator connections with the advantages of OPC UA technology and fieldbus interfaces such as Ethernet, IP, Profinet and Modbus. This means that different technologies can be used simultaneously. In the field of camera technology, the new MX-E90 vision processor connects up to eight GigE cameras simultaneously. This simplifies integration, commissioning and maintenance. In combination with the Impact software, users can thus set up a camera-based inspection system.
