Henrik Schunk elected to the Executive Committee
At its ordinary meeting, the main board of the VDMA elected family entrepreneur Henrik Schunk as Vice President of the association. Schunk replaces Norbert Basler on the Executive Committee, who has resigned from office for personal reasons.
Henrik Schunk has been Managing Partner and CEO of the automation specialist Schunk, based in Lauffen am Neckar, Germany, since 2002. He is responsible for sales and innovation management within the Schunk Group. The industrial engineer was a member of the board of VDMA Robotics + Automation from 2009 to 2012. He has been a member of the VDMA Executive Board since 2013. At European level, Henrik Schunk is active in EUnited Robotics; from 2010 to 2016 as Chairman and since 2017 as Vice Chairman.
