Growth despite lack of market impetus

The Lenze Group has announced its figures for the 2015/2016 financial year. Despite difficult economic conditions, the company was once again able to increase the previous year's record revenue.

Lenze CEO Christian Wendler: "In the current financial year, we will continue to focus on targeted investments in our customer front-end and our range of services."

Specifically, Lenze increased its revenue by around 2% to EUR 646.4 million in the past financial year (May 1, 2015 to April 30, 2016). At the same time, the company succeeded in increasing profitability: Operating earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) grew slightly to 48.5 million euros, compared to 46.9 million euros in the same period of the previous year. Earnings after tax rose by EUR 2 million to EUR 31.4 million. Managing Director Christian Wendler sees the Lenze Group's focus on attractive focus industries such as consumer goods, intralogistics, textiles and automotive as the main driver of the company's stable growth and the basis for its strong market position.

For the 2016/2017 financial year, the Lenze Group does not expect a broad improvement in the economic environment in view of the numerous economic burdens. The economic and political changes in the regional sales markets will be monitored very closely in order to initiate prompt measures to avert risks or exploit opportunities. Nevertheless, Wendler assumes that the positive trend will continue, especially in the Lenze Group's focus industries. Based on the information available today, the Executive Board therefore expects revenue growth for the Lenze Group in the current 2016/17 financial year to be slightly higher than in the previous year.
