Germany's most popular electric cars in 2015

A total of 12,363 electric vehicles were newly registered in Germany in 2015. That's 3,841 more electric vehicles than in 2014 with 8,522 e-cars. The 'eMobility Dashboard Germany' from electriv.net names the most popular models of the past year.

According to the Federal Motor Transport Authority, 12,363 new electric cars were registered in Germany in 2015. This is 3,841 more electric cars than in 2014. However, electric cars only accounted for 0.7% of all new registrations in 2015 - in contrast to Norway (22.8%), the Netherlands (9.7%) and Denmark (2.3%).

In addition, 33,630 hybrid cars were newly registered last year, 11,101 of which were plug-in hybrids.
