SPN
Gearbox with media feed-through
SPN Schwaben Präzision has developed an articulated wrist for the specific purposes of a robotics manufacturer with a focus on the automotive industry.
Three drive shafts form the gearbox input of the joint; these can be connected directly to the motor during the assembly process. Stage one ("axis-parallel") consists of backlash-free adjustable spur gear stages that meet the maximum requirements for concentricity and uniformity. The following kinematics are made up of bevel gears, some of which are arranged one behind the other. According to SPN Schwaben Präzision, these gear stages can also be adjusted completely backlash-free
The drive design with hollow shaft was specially tailored to the application. The process-relevant media can be fed through the 70 mm channel to the applicator attached to the gearbox output. According to the calculations of the robot controller and the specific process specifications, the housing elements of the axes are permanently rotated against each other by the path during operation.
