Extended range of motors for the process industry
The flameproof motors in the Simotics XP low-voltage motor series from Siemens are now available across the entire power range from 0.25 to 460 kW in gas groups IIB and IIC.
They are also equipped for future energy efficiency requirements with the availability of IE3 efficiency. Motors from Siemens are also available in the Chemstar version with pre-configured, chemical-specific options. Further options: Premium insulation enables speed-controlled operation with any inverter with output voltages up to 690 V without filters. Variants with reduced starting currents and a range of options with monitoring by PTC sensors (PTC thermistors) and PT100 (thermometers), special coating systems and modular attachments, such as speed sensors and brakes, round off the portfolio.
All common types of ignition protection are covered by the Simotics XP platform for explosion-proof motors and can be configured and adapted using the Drive Technology Configurator provided by Siemens.
